Elections Task Force

Established by AHCC Resolution 07-34, Creating an Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs (AHCC) Task Force to Develop a Strategic Plan for Education and Outreach to Address Issues of Importance for Civic Clubs and the Hawaiian Community at Large for the State’s 2008 and 2010 Election Cycles. Purpose of Task Force: Develop a strategic plan for education and outreach to address issues of importance for civic clubs and the Hawaiian community at large for the 2008 and 2010 election cycles; present preliminary plan to the AHCC Board in January 2008, with final plan in April 2008.

Nationhood Dialogues

Reconciliation with the U.S.

Established by AHCC Resolution 07-15, Urging the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs to Honor Queen Lili‘uokalani by Creating a Task Force to Engage in Discussion and Prepare a Report Focusing on Aspects of Meaningful Reconciliation with the United States Pursuant to U.S. Public Law 103-150, Passed by Congress in 1993. Purpose of Task Force: To engage in discussion and prepare a report focusing on aspects of meaningful reconciliation with the United States pursuant to U.S. Public Law 103-150, passed by Congress in 1993; and to assess, among other things, damages resulting from the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom by the United States and its military forces, as acknowledged in Public Law 103-150, as well as costs for its Reconstruction; and that the Task Force submit its report at the 2009 AHCC Convention.

Hawaiian National Sustainability Plan

Established by AHCC Resolution 07-16, Urging the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs to Create a Task Force to Develop a Hawaiian National Sustainability Plan in Anticipation of Nationhood. Purpose of Task Force: Develop a National Sustainability Plan with collective input from all member civic clubs and others of like mind. Plan to be used to guide future decision of the Association and the work of its committee chairs.
