Our Hali‘a Aloha Ceremony the 61st Annual Convention is virtual.
To assure that all members whom have passed on are remembered in both the convention book and during the Hali‘a Aloha ceremony, please send the requested information by email to our Hali‘a Aloha Committee Chair, Ben Baker, at firstname.lastname@example.org by October 14, 2020.
Please send the committee the member’s full name, Hawaiian Civic Club(s) of membership, whether she or he held a leadership position in the club or council, and a picture of the member.
We cannot ensure inclusion of information in the Convention Booklet if received after the due date. With everyone’s cooperation, we can honor and remember our loved ones in a most respectful and loving way.
During the Hali‘a Aloha ceremony, the protocol will be different from what we’re used to at convention. There will be a soft background music during the presentation as I read the names of our loved one and the name/s of their club/s. The names will be read in alphabetical order and not by moku councils. I ask for any guidance to possibly kokua so that this process can be proceeded with Ke Akua blessings.
Please contact Ben Baker with any questions: (253) 282-2230 (cell) or email@example.com.
