Kū I Ke Aka O Nā Kupuna Award

Moʻolelo Kupuna Video Award

(updated 8/11/2026) The Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs seeks to document the moʻolelo of our Hawaiian Civic Club kupuna members (past and present), provide a platform to share these moʻolelo, and to encourage this to be done as a video documentary.

  • The video documentary project must be completed by a Hawaiian Civic Club member in good standing with the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs.
  • Nomination form MUST be received NO LATER THAN 45 days prior to the Convention start date via the online application. NOTE: Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
  • The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at the Annual AOHCC Convention.
  • Video documentary project must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo and it must be a video that can be embedded in other platforms. Please specify the URL to the video on the entry form.

Nominees of the Kū I Ke Aka O Nā Kupuna Award will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Presentation of Content.
  2. Innovation and Creativity.
  3. Production Quality.
  4. Dissemination: How well was the video shared.
