Pi‘ilani Award

Outstanding Hawaiian Civic Club/Council- Electronic Communication

(updated 8/11/2026) The Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs seeks to recognize an outstanding website or other means of electronic communication that represents, promotes, and supports a Hawaiian Civic Club or Hawaiian Civic Club Council.

  • Hawaiian Civic Clubs/Hawaiian Civic Councils or club members in good standing with the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs may submit nominations for this award.
  • Nomination form MUST be received NO LATER THAN 45 days prior to the Convention start date via the online application. NOTE: Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
  • The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at the Annual AOHCC Convention.

Nominees of the Pi‘ilani Award will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Content is engaging, relevant, and appropriate.
  2. Structure and navigation throughout is consistent, intuitive, and transparent.
  3. Visual design is of high quality, is appropriate, and is relevant.
  4. Loads quickly, contains live links, works cross-platform, and is browser independent.
  5. Promotes interactivity; user responds by easily clicking through.
  6. The means of electronic communication demonstrates efficient and effective communication.
