Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Award
Outstanding Hawaiian Civic Club of the Year
(updated 8/11/2026) The Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs seeks to recognize an outstanding Hawaiian Civic Club that best exemplifies the ideals and example set forth by Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole through service, dedication, and active involvement throughout the previous calendar year.
- Only Hawaiian Civic Clubs in good standing with the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs may submit nominations for this award.
- Nomination form MUST be received NO LATER THAN 45 days prior to the Convention start date via the online application and MUST include 1 high resolution photo of nominee. NOTE: Late submissions will NOT be accepted.
- The winner of this prestigious award will be announced at the Annual AOHCC Convention.
Nominees of the Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Award will be judged on the following criteria:
- Exemplifies the ideals and example set forth by Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole.
- Active involvement in the Hawaiian Civic Club movement and the community at-large throughout the previous calendar year.
- Contributes, supports and furthers the causes of the Hawaiian community and Hawaiian Civic Clubs throughout the previous calendar year.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Hawaiian values and principles.
